Whether you've already explored every nook and cranny of our website (and trust me, there are plenty), or you've just stumbled upon us, you've come to the right place for a quick and concise introduction of who we are and what we do + a little guide to getting around the site and taking advantage of everything we have available to you.
Long story short, we're a small, independent publishing company based on the traditional publishing model with all the benefits of self-publishing without the loneliness and financial strain. But we're more than that. We're also a coach, providing not just the illustrious Issabelle Perry's coaching services but also the encouragement and guidance you need to navigate the wide and wonderful world of literature and publishing. From our posts here on this blog and our resource library to our newsletter and Patreon, we have a plethora of resources to help you write, edit, and publish a genuinely good story. Even if you aren't published by us but go on to work with a different publisher or pursue self-publishing, we're here for you. Even if you've felt left out or struggled to get the help you need, we're here for you.
Sky's the Limit Press was originally founded in 2021 by a young, bright-eyed indie author who wanted to make a digital literary magazine. I did, but after one issue, I was already burnt-out and wanted to move on to something else. The press was partially revived in 2022 when I decided I wanted to publish a romance anthology, so I published the collection under the press's name, but didn't really make any move to bring the press to life in its entirety. Then, in 2023, I resolved to really and truly launch this press—not just as a name to publish my personal works under, but as an opportunity for writers like myself to experience the wonder and beauty of traditional publishing without the politics and constraints. Getting the press on its feet has been a long, drawn-out process, but at long last, the time has arrived in which we are finally, officially, publicly launching Sky's the Limit Press.
We're no longer a literary magazine, but our original mission of equipping writers in every age and stage of their author journey hasn't changed. It's a harsh and lonely world out there, no matter how many communities and groups and servers you join. Ultimately, in this industry, it's not about friendships and connections anymore: it's about numbers. Profits, followers, views, pages, bottom lines, royalties, growth, etc. And reaching the numbers that equal success can be costly. Talent, quality, convictions, and the very heart and soul of a writer can be sacrificed on the altar of commercialism.
We can't promise money and fame. But we can promise you authentic relationships, cultivation of excellent work, and genuine love for you and not cash. We offer the tools and opportunities to grow in skill, in excellence, and even in faith, rather than in numbers.

We want to be a haven—a safe place, a sanctuary, a retreat—for the writers who are lost, confused, lonely, or floundering and for the writers who are confident, skillful, and ready to take the next step toward publishing.
If you'd rather take the time and put in the effort to create a story you're proud of than throw together one with all the top selling points for a quick money maker...if you'd rather work with someone who fosters your convictions, talents, and creativity than a company that prioritizes politics...if you simply want to be valued as an individual instead of a number...
